So, how do I describe these trousers that I have bought so many pairs of and adore? 1) these are not thin material pants, they are in between a twill and a ponte. They might get a bit warm when it is 90 degrees outside but the waistband, the stretch and the recovery is phenomenal. The fabric hides a multitude of bumps and the wide waistband sucks you in - especially if you are bottom heavy like me with a smaller waist. 2) These do not "GRAB" you in the knees and thighs but you are not floating in material like a wide width pant leg. They are just right. I have pudgy knees and thighs as I am a pear shape and carry more weight in my arms and legs and less in my stomach and waist. I actually have a pretty small waist but that means that my knees often look like sausages in pant legs while the waist gaps. I have tried wide leg pants but they make me look big all over. These pants, they fit like a glove and my legs look normally proportioned. 3) they wash and dry well, don't pill like ponte and the fabric looks dressy enough for work. Win. Win. Win.
