      These are pretty OK. I would not say 'sexy' or the like as they really puff out at the ankle and make your legs look a bit thick. They are very flat as well, hardly any heel. That said, they do look cute with jeans tucked in and will be good for bad weather. I have thick calves and barely got these zipped (but did- yay!) I'd love them more if they did not bunch at the ankle. The quilting is both pretty cool and slightly strange at the same time...;)

          These boots are very cute and stylish. If you are looking for a pair of sturdy black riding boots then these are it. I've worn them many times during the winter and I have noticed that the sole will come up a little, but I'm sure that can be repaired if necessary. Overall I love them.

                        I've purchased boots from Avenue before. I always get a size larger due to putting insets in them and wearing thick wool socks. These are a bit stiff but I probably just need to break them in. The heel is pretty sturdy. I'd say they're average as far as fit and quality. Nice to find stylish boots for wide calves.
