I was surprise by the quality/look of this boot. Very nice looking boot, not cheapy plastic looking. Heavy duty material, for the price.

My only issue is, I usually wear a size 11 wide, in flat boots. Can wear regular 11's as well. This boot, I ordered a size 12W, because of some of very helpful reviews. Well the 12W's are tighter then expected. I ordered some size 12W's in other boots from AVE. They are big, so the other reviewers were right on point in their review. Thanks to the other posters for your reviews.

Pretty stiff when I first got them and I thought I may have to return them. I wore them around the house and they loosened up quickly. I love these boots.

Cute boots. They do really smell. I had to put them in garage horrible!!!! The smell even stayed on my hands. Weird. I have never had non-leather boots before so we will see how they wear...But cute style..Also I usually wear a 12w, but without socks. I got a 13w and they will do nicely with thick socks. My calf is about 18ish and it zipped up fairly well. I will hope jeans will fit under them.

I bought these to replace a pair of boots I bought from another store. I have a hard time finding boots to fit my athletic 17" calves. The shaft of this boot is definitely wide. I can tuck in pants or leggings with room to spare.

I was a little disappointed to find that the width of the boot wasn't as wide as described. I ordered up a size due to other reviews. I normally wear a 10W and I ordered an 11W. They fit in the length well, but when I first put them on they felt super-narrow. I was really disappointed because I thought I was safe ordering a full size up in a wide width. However, after walking around in them for a day, they stretched out and the width is not an issue. I still can't wear thick socks with them, but that's not a problem for me as I don't care for thick socks anyway.

The quality seems to be good, but the online pictures are a bit deceiving. After viewing the product online, I expected the toe to be rounder. The toes on these are pointy, like a cowboy boot and the heel is a tad bit taller than I imagined it would be.

I did put some inserts in mine to make sure they were comfortable enough for work and I haven't had any issues with hotspots or blisters.

I haven't been a big "boot" wearer in the past, but people, St. Louis, MO is COLD in the winter and I decided to try some boots with casual pants tucked in since that seems to be stylish now AND I figured it had to be warmer than what I usually wear. Well, finding a boot for a wide calf that doesn't cost an arm and a leg is quite a feat (no pun intended). I was skeptical about faux leather because I figured the look would be sub-par, but I was pleasantly surprised when I received these. I love the fit and have gotten many compliments on these. I liked them so much, I also got them in brown. Theese boots were a STEAL for the price I paid and I have worn the heck out of both pair. I noticed that there were a couple spots close to the zipper on the black pair that is beginning to wear, so I guess that's where the cheaper price comes into play. I tried to purchase duplicates for next year, but see they are sold out of all but very large sizes. In any event, I will wear these until they fall apart and then hopefully, they will be back in stock next year. I highly recommend these boots. Lastly, I will add that I experienced absolutely NO bad smell associated with these boots as other reviews have mentioned. Maybe it was a sporadic problem that didn't affect every pair.

I bought these boots because I had been looking for several years for a good pair that was reasonably priced. I found these and immediately bought them in black. They fit well which is a huge deal because I do have very wide calves. I have worn them almost every day since I got them almost two weeks ago. one con is they don't have very much padding. I put in some inserts and that seems to have improved the problem but not a great deal. I also bought these nearly 2 sizes bigger than what I usually wear. I am normally a 10 possibly 11 depending on the shoe and I bought a 12 because that was the smallest size available. They fit my feet well so I would suggest going a size bigger when ordering these boots. Other than that these boots were fantastic and I love them.

I've been looking for a good pair of black boots that actually fit my wide feet and my large calves. These are those boots - they're super cute, fun, smart, comfy, and have a little edge. They're good for wearing to work or wearing for more casual use.

The major problem with them? They're amazingly smelly! The smell is powerful, too. It's an obvious plastic smell which is so unattractive. Yeah, it keeps me from wearing these boots. I'll admit I've only worn them twice even though I like them a lot. Such a shame.
