Comments about Avenue Cyprus Stretch Back Riding Boot:

I bought these as soon as they went on sale because my favorite Avenue boots fell apart at the end of last winter. Now that cooler weather is here I have finally had a chance to wear them. The calf is a littler smaller than years past Avenue boots, but the stretch fabric in the back does help create a fitted boot for a variety of calves and it fits snuggly on my calves, which I consider to be fairly large.

One issue that I had is in the heel of the boot has a very hard/stiff shape (difficult to explain but where the heel of the shoe typically is, is extremely hard with no give) and this was rubbing the back of my ankle all day. I did wear these for walking around all day the first time I wore them, but the next day the back of my ankles still really hurt and are noticeably red. No blisters because it wasn't rubbing, but with every step this stiff piece was hitting the back of my ankle.

Other boots I have purchased from Avenue this year have not had this piece. But overall, for the price (especially on sale) it's an OK boot, good color.
